Concrete Tester & Batcher

What is this job?

We need someone to help test our concrete and rocks to make sure they are strong and safe.

You will work in a lab and a yard. You will use machines, tools, and a computer to check the quality of our product.

What you will do every day:

• Move Samples: Pick up small concrete pots (about 4kg), take the concrete out, and use a small crane to put them in water tanks.

• Use Machines: Place concrete blocks into a grinding machine and a press machine to test how strong they are.

• Test Sand & Rocks (Once a week): Scoop and shake sand and rocks through sieves to check their sizes.

• Mix Lime: Mix one bag of lime (15kg) into the water tanks once a day.

• Computer Work: Type the test results into a computer. You need to be comfortable using a computer for this.

What you need to have:

Must-Have:

• You are good with computers (typing in data).

• You are physically fit (ready to lift up to 15kg and stand during the day).

Great to have (but not a dealbreaker):

• Experience working with concrete or batching.

• Forklift Ticket.

• Loader Ticket (FEL).

• Working at Heights or Confined Space tickets.
